On 8/4/08, Terry Jones was sentenced to 180 months in prison after being convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm through Project Safe Neighborhoods. Mr. Jones was arrested in Chicago and charged with purchasing two handguns from an undercover ATF agent.

On 4/23/08, Larry Purnell was sentenced to 138 months in prison after being convicted on felony charges of possession of narcotics with intent to distribute while carrying a firearm through Project Safe Neighborhoods. Mr. Purnell was arrested in Chicago after he was caught engaging in sales of crack cocaine to an undercover ATF agent. He had in his possession a .45 caliber pistol.

On 12/20/07, Anthony Jenkins was sentenced to 188 months in prison after being convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm through Project Safe Neighborhoods. Mr. Jenkins was arrested in Joliet and charged with firing shots into the air on New Year’s Eve. He had in his possession a 9 mm pistol.
